This is Cape Spear or what I believe it is, a happy place. Cape Spear is the easternmost point in North America. If you look out from there, all you have in front of you is the magnitude and vastness of the Atlantic Ocean. Its lighthouse is the oldest surviving lighthouse in Newfoundland. I chose a very bright and cheerful palette for this work to bring out the joy that it already brought out in me when I visited it. This happy place always reminds of happy days and makes me look forward to even happier ones. I hope it does the same to you.
