Painting helps me travel in time and space. This piece depicts a beautiful seacoast scene in Prince Edward's Island. As I was laying and applying paint on the canvas and watching the whole picture unravel before my eyes, all the sweet memories from my time there came back and kept me company... This dead tree that is still alive in its moving, dance-like posture seems to be reaching out to the viewer out of space and time, wanting to touch them with its withered but still thick branches and timber, while the Seacow Head Lighthouse looks on surrounded by evergreen trees and misty clouds.
