"Spirited Solitude" is all about tranquility, lightness, breeziness, quietude and space. This painting is based on a reference picture I took during my stay in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and my visit to the wonderful site that is Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy. This beautiful, other-worldly site inspired me so many times and I always find myself going back to all the pictures I took to produce a new painting with it as my main subject, each time under different light conditions and through a unique perspective. This time I decided to keep it simple but my goal was also to show the grandeur of this place. I hope I managed to achieve that.
