One of my favorite places on earth: Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. A mammoth molten lava rock bed formed millions of years ago and overlooking a wild and merciless ocean surrounded by very welcoming, little fishing towns and villages. This place is beautiful under any light and weather conditions, but for this painting I wanted to portray its lighthouse majestically sitting on its granite throne, enjoying the last warm rays of the setting sun. They say the golden hour makes everything look beautiful, but I believe that Peggy's Cove itself makes the golden hour look magical.
